CGI and photography

Some photographers hate CGI and see in it a threat to their future work.

I think that it can be a good extension to classic photography. It gives you endless possibilities to create scenes for your subject, to tell stories to simply do things you couldn't have done before.

As photographers we always had to adapt to modern times. If it was the use of color films, digital cameras or photoshop. Now it is the use of 3D programs. But that helps to keep things alive. To discover new ways to express our art. I think, that alone makes it worth it to try it out.

It also makes the clients life a lot easier. If something needs to be redone, it is just a click away. If he wants moving images...it can be done.

I don't think that one excludes the other. Both and especially in combination have a right to be.

So yes... i am a fan of CGI. And i do have plenty of projects coming up, using this technology.
