The great advantage of this style is the possibility for storytelling. You can bring still life images to life rather then ending up with a pretty photo of a lifeless thing.
It dosn't have to be a huge set with lots of probs in it. Sometimes all it takes is one single item and carefully set light, to tell a whole story.
